Wow! This game is amazing! =D In Chapter 2, I've already have lost the battle several times and I am playing this on the Normal Mode. How many of you think that this game' difficulty may even rival Thracia's? Seriously, the enemies are not only alot stronger than in POR, but also you easily get outnumbered as almost every chapter involves finishing them fast in order to get good enough Bonus EXP. Miciah, is the problem in the early going especially, as she is prone to getting killed, if you do not use her with extreme caution, and that she starts off with only 15 HP and that her HP growth is only 50% percent. What a way to add challenge to a Lord!

Most people seem to consider part 1 and part 3 w/ micaiah's units to be the hardest parts of the game (usual reason given is not enough time to train characters, or characters are too weak). I personally don't know how it compares to thracia, but it certainly seems difficult enough from everything I've heard.

It's worth saying, though, that the "normal" mode here was hard mode in japan. Our easy mode is even easier than JP's normal mode. And our hard mode is (I think?) roughly equivalent to their maniac mode, though the (few) additional character-exclusive weapons might make ours a little easier all in all?

Where'd you hear all this? I was told the difficulties were simply renamed (and some have even told me that enemies in part 4 were made even STRONGER than in the JP version).

Also, what are the additional personal weapons you speak of?

Battlesave is the answer if you're not too good Ayanami. As for comparing this to Thracia; well that would be blasphemy.

Caladbolg, Lughnasahd (sp?), and Tarvos. (Eddie, Leonardo, and Nolan, respectively.) These were new personal items added in the localisation. Micaiah gives them out in info conversations in chapter 3-6, or whatever her first part 3 chapter is.

Edit: Unless thought there were additional weapons added in Hard mode...?

There's already a thread on the game's difficulty. Go use that one.

Closing.
