((Just to see how many RPers came back...))

Eiluj was in a room. It was kind of a drab room with nothing out of the ordinary, except that it was extraordinarily empty. And it was also extraordinarily extra large, like those 6XL T-shirts you see in flea markets sometimes. It was the kind of room that looked like a big sheet of paper for little children to crayon, marker or fingerpaint all over. It was as if it was enticing Eiluj to do something to the room, anything, to make it have more...more...PI~ZZAZZ or something. The outreached appendages from Eiluj's axial trunk stroked the lower extremities of Eiluj's face, as if pondering the situation at hand. There was nothing with which to decorate the room. It was a void, vacant and vacuous. So, Eiluj, extending a limb into the air, pointed at the nearest wall and cut an invisible swath through the invisible air. Nothing happened at first. Eiluj hadn't really expected anything to, but the thought that of what would result if something did occur. When that thought materialized in Eiluj's head once more, likewise, the area where an invisible stroke had been drawn exploded in a fanciful display of stuff. Tendrils of some kind erupted from the walls and started spreading. They looked like half vine, half fiber-optic cable. Not long after they first appeared, about half of the room was covered with these tendrils. They stopped once they reached this point, because it would look a bit tacky if they were to go any further.

'The place would maybe look better if it were dark,' thought Eiluj. And so, the normally lit room was plunged into darkness. But not complete darkness. How would Eiluj see the place if it were complete darkness? The tendrils gave off an eerie, but cool, pulsating light. In the middle of that half of the room, the tendrils converged into a weirdly oscillating spherical object that glowed green-blue, somewhat reminiscent of a bonfire. It gave off no real heat, but it gave off some feeling that could be comforting to some, strage to others. To Eiluj, it was comforting. This setting reminded Eiluj of home, wherever that was. Eiluj plopped down in front of the bonfire-orb thing.

'I'm kind of hungry, or thirsty...maybe both...' Eiluj stretched, and found what looked like a marshmallow on a stick. 'Well, this doesn't look too bad...' After a second's worth of hesitant decision making, the marshmallow-stick thing was being held over the orb. Even without heat, the orb started cooking the potential food item in Eiluj's hand. Once that was done, Eiluj brought the marshmallow-stick thing back from the orb, and consumed it. The consumed mystery food item sort of melted in Eiluj's mouth. It was liquidy enough to drink, but somehow still solid enough to chew. It was a variety of flavors. After ingesting it, the food created a warmth that spread through the body. It sure was a strange food in a strange place, but Eiluj couldn't argue with the taste. Eiluj tossed the rest of the stick away.

'Maybe I'm not hungry, maybe I'm just lonely... I could use some company...maybe.'

A grey-cloaked figure stood in a 3x4' room, which had only a small bench directly across from the doors. On this bench was a variety of weapons, ammunition, medical supplies, foodstuffs, and containers.

The figure picked up and put on a pistol holster, and sheathed a pistol within it. Next, he attached a pouch containing four clips of .45 ACP ammo and a crowbar on the left-end strap, and two rolls of gauze tape on the right-end. The figure then lifted his cloak to strap on an empty bandoleer, picked up a box of 12-gauge shotgun shells, pulling out its contents and attaching them to the bandoleer, and tossed another box of shotgun shells into a small rucksack. He also put four more clips of .45 ACP ammo, two extra rolls of gauze tape, four bread rolls and two 1-litre bottles of water within the same rucksack. Once he was done, he slung the rucksack on the cloak around his right shoulder and a first-aid kit on his left.

The figure went for the door and opened it, and prayed to come back in one piece...

Eiluj turned to the open door, faintly illuminated by the tendrils. A figure was at the doorway. Eiluj could not really tell anything specific about the figure due to darkness and other obscuring factors. So, Eiluj attempted a simple greeting.

"Erhm, what is probably the word I want to use here...Hello! Maybe..?" Eiluj made no sudden motions, as the situation did not really warrant any. "Perchance may you want to share a meal? I do not have food, but the floor seems to have some, maybe." Eiluj picked up another marshmallow-stick food thing from the ground that seemed to have appeared from nowhere and offered it to the mystery figure. "It may be tasty. I have tried this item, and I think it might taste acceptable."

'I think I have likely initiated the greeting process well, perhaps...?'

The figure took the stick without saying a word. He then tore off a small piece of the marshmallow and ate it.

The figure felt a surge of energy building through his body, as if to bolster his strength. During this time, he let out a faint chuckle.

When the next figure entered the room, he did not enter by any door or window or anything of the sort. Instead, he simply... was. The young man appeared in the room, and there was no perceptible "entering" of the room. Quite simply, he was not in the room and then, just as simply, he was present, standing and looking around, his arms crossed in front of him. The young man was hard to see in the dim lighting of the room, especially because all the apparel he was wearing seemed to be dark in color. He walked around in the darkness just outside of the glow of the bonfire-ish object in the center of the room. He was aware of the other two men in the room, but was not interested in either of them. He simply paced around the outside of the circle until he tripped.

The young man looked down at the thing he had tripped over. He wished for light, and light came--in the form of a small circle, something of a spotlight, that illuminated the object he had tripped over. It was a sapling, growing in a small pile of dirt. He willed it to grow, and wished for water. A small raincloud appeared over the tree, as might appear in a child's cartoon while a character is feeling depressed, and began pouring rain on the sapling. The light continued to shine, and the sapling grew into a small tree. Within minutes, it was three feet tall. A few more minutes, and it was six feet tall, and a full tree. It seemed to grow no more.

The boy reached up into one of the branches and pulled off an apple for himself. He bit into it and sat down next to the bonfire-object. A log appeared under him as he sat down. The leaves of the tree he had created glowed with a sort of silver-green iridescence, and the apple in his hand was a bright blue. The log he sat on had glowing red lines. He looked over at the other two men and said one word.

"Niles."
