((Just to see how many RPers came back...))
Eiluj was in a room. It was kind of a drab room with nothing out of the ordinary, except that it was extraordinarily empty. And it was also extraordinarily extra large, like those 6XL T-shirts you see in flea markets sometimes. It was the kind of room that looked like a big sheet of paper for little children to crayon, marker or fingerpaint all over. It was as if it was enticing Eiluj to do something to the room, anything, to make it have more...more...PI~ZZAZZ or something. The outreached appendages from Eiluj's axial trunk stroked the lower extremities of Eiluj's face, as if pondering the situation at hand. There was nothing with which to decorate the room. It was a void, vacant and vacuous. So, Eiluj, extending a limb into the air, pointed at the nearest wall and cut an invisible swath through the invisible air. Nothing happened at first. Eiluj hadn't really expected anything to, but the thought that of what would result if something did occur. When that thought materialized in Eiluj's head once more, likewise, the area where an invisible stroke had been drawn exploded in a fanciful display of stuff. Tendrils of some kind erupted from the walls and started spreading. They looked like half vine, half fiber-optic cable. Not long after they first appeared, about half of the room was covered with these tendrils. They stopped once they reached this point, because it would look a bit tacky if they were to go any further.
'The place would maybe look better if it were dark,' thought Eiluj. And so, the normally lit room was plunged into darkness. But not complete darkness. How would Eiluj see the place if it were complete darkness? The tendrils gave off an eerie, but cool, pulsating light. In the middle of that half of the room, the tendrils converged into a weirdly oscillating spherical object that glowed green-blue, somewhat reminiscent of a bonfire. It gave off no real heat, but it gave off some feeling that could be comforting to some, strage to others. To Eiluj, it was comforting. This setting reminded Eiluj of home, wherever that was. Eiluj plopped down in front of the bonfire-orb thing.
'I'm kind of hungry, or thirsty...maybe both...' Eiluj stretched, and found what looked like a marshmallow on a stick. 'Well, this doesn't look too bad...' After a second's worth of hesitant decision making, the marshmallow-stick thing was being held over the orb. Even without heat, the orb started cooking the potential food item in Eiluj's hand. Once that was done, Eiluj brought the marshmallow-stick thing back from the orb, and consumed it. The consumed mystery food item sort of melted in Eiluj's mouth. It was liquidy enough to drink, but somehow still solid enough to chew. It was a variety of flavors. After ingesting it, the food created a warmth that spread through the body. It sure was a strange food in a strange place, but Eiluj couldn't argue with the taste. Eiluj tossed the rest of the stick away.
'Maybe I'm not hungry, maybe I'm just lonely... I could use some company...maybe.'
