This is all under the assumption that we stay open. But I'm 98% certain that we're closing again, and this is temporary. In my "New Board" topic in announcements, I go over one of the big problems we would have (ie: we're no longer a Fire Emblem board, really). But there's really no point in consolidating anything as if we were bunkering down for the future, when there likely isn't a future.
Albeit we should totally have a holiday gathering, at least for a week.
As for your comment Tauro, in my opinion, now after some thought, we could only really change into a more general forum, having FE as the board's "favorite game". Also, we'd have to find another meaning to FESS acronym in that case scenario.
What's might be really interesting, though, would be to find some parallels in the members' lives. If you read the only new topic in General, most are pursuing careers that have to do with numbers, art and Japan, which somehow correlates with RPG and the FE's artwork.
Also, most members who are back are getting into or are already in another step in life, thereby we have a more mature board.
Given those points, one could argue that we could find some use into having a board where we can help each other out in things we gather interesting or important, should we decide to let FESS live.
Examples may range from being a student leaving or way past highschool, getting a job, simple finance, etc all the way to the leisure topics as games, art, and debates.
This is of course something I have not really analized deeply, but hey, we somehow like each other, talk non-sense that could drive the pope nuts, and stand each other despite or different types of life (country, language, etc), so why not also help each other a bit too? Plus adding some boards more into stuff that we like- that haven't been contemplated due to the board's center being FE-, without being serious, might be fun.
Just saying. Albeit that might be really hard to pull of. I do think that regular gatherings might be nice.
EDIT: Forgot adding computers, but you get the point (sorry 'Bus xD)
