Not sure if this kind of topic was made before, but it's been ages anyway. Basically, are there any online communities that you frequent, MMO that you've invested time in or any sites you visit again and again?
Currently, I'm working on a lengthy assignment, so I try not to spend too much time online. However when I'm bored or lacking in inspiration, I find myself roaming the Serenes Forest forums, lurk on NeoGAF (still too lazy to make an account), check nobody is putting false info on Fire Emblem Wikia and briefly check quieter forums like Fire Emblem Universe or Ancient Land of Ys.

I've actually reached the stage where my laptop is just sitting on the floor more than anything else. Until the weekends/holidays, that is... Via my blackberry, I'm always on facebook... Once in a while I'll play RO with a group of friends that I've known for years. Other than that, I'm pretty shot.  |

I used to be on Serenes Forest for a bit, but I haven't been on in quite some time. Lately, I frequent Facebook and DeviantArt. And yes, I am still on fanfiction.net, although I've moved on from Fire Emblem in my eyes. That is, if the fact that I'm writing a Mass Effect self-insert is anything to go by... I've been at Touhou-Project.com for writing purposes and GSHC since I'm the Story Head. Otherwise, nothing too much, though I had been doing an FE6 playthrough/walkthrough intermittently.

For the previous year or so, I've been on FB... Got addicted to this one game, which became a few more. I realized how awesome FESS was when I realized it was so much harder to kill dipshittery on FB. The last few months or so I've been weaning myself off the addiction.
Other than that, I mostly hang around BackStage. It's a trade forum for actors.
I also hang around Cure, but there isn't really a community behind that. It's just a site to display your cosplay work. I never thought highly about cosplay, but about half a year ago, I randomly came across two extremely good cosplayers who inspired me to give it another chance. Although most cosplay looks terrible, it's worth surfing the rubbish/mediocrity for the few diamonds in the rough.
Although I still write, I rarely check out much more of FF.net... I haven't uploaded anything in ages (hehe I must have a folder chock full of unfinished chapters), on the rare occasion check out Flame Rising's forum for snark-bait... but for the same reason as Deviantart: I hate the ads... I still try to avoid both.
I quit MapleStory around summer 2009. It wasn't intentional; Windows Vista just gives me incompatibility with everything... so my game kept bugging out in the middle, and I gave up.

Facebook for real life stuff. About once a day if that really. Other online stuff. A fair bit of commenting on gonintendo stories. Little commenting on Nintendo Life. Too many boxshots on Gamefaqs (I'm getting busy for this, my backlog of amazon.co.jp images I've downloaded but no re-uploaded is about a month...maybe I should pass the not well known amazon URL for higher resolution boxes on and retire...). I probably look at Serenes once every few months but nothing I see makes me want to log back in and post anything Finally, I like to say I read more than I write at that NeoGAF place (most days I only have time to check my subscribed threads... which is anything I've posted in or random topics of interest I bookmarked) but given how large the place is outside of a few threads you end up as background noise but I have to admit finding it a bit relaxing: lurk on NeoGAF (still too lazy to make an account)
Given how long they can take to validate it might be best to have an account in case you actually ever want to post. Plus subscribing to threads is a useful bookmark (though be wanred, I was able to make subscriptions before I joined the validation queue but then couldn't during the queue  I don't know it accounts that fail to join the validation get pruned or not) |

I only go to Serenes Forest if I'm researching something nowadays. The memberbase has completely turned me off of the fandom, and I'll go one step farther: I reference the fandom, and even SF's New Monshou members BY NAME when people ask me "are we going to see New Monshou in America?" and I tell them why we probably won't. Other than that, I really don't have time for communities. I write a lot of stuff at Diehard GameFAN, and also freelance where they'll pay me. Really, anyone that wants to know my day-to-day thoughts would be well advised to follow my Twitter. |

I'm apparently absolutely nowhere. I get on Facebook only when I remember it exists... which isn't very often.

Lessee... Well, there's a small RP board I help admin (Which mostly involves fixing shit whenever something borks), my random trollings on SF, and me on facebook, where I mostly only log in when someone sends me a message or friends me.
Yeah, I've pretty much stopped most online communities myself. Just don't have enough time anymore.
