With the boards being open temporarily, until the early part of 2011, there's not much that we can do in the long term. Our numbers are down from when we opened earlier this year on a complete whim, but that's OK; the people coming here are the hardcores. Therefore, it's really your community.
Therefore, if you guys have any ideas to make things more fun here, let me know. We don't have to be as anal-retentive as we were when we were a fully-running community, and can afford to let our hair down a bit. I'm definitely open for ideas.
Also, if anyone wants their old ranks back, by all means, let me or one of the other admins know. Moderator rights will go away once we're done to protect the integrity of the archives - Lord knows this is all that's left other than FESS1 - but if anyone wants their sexy badges, I'm willing to comply.

Also, I think you should temporarily hide the majority of the boards, or make one Reunion board and then hide the rest, so that all the threads are centralized. As it is now, we're a bit scattered over a forum intended to house over ten times the traffic we're sustaining now, its a bit muting.

I want Oswin to silently judge me again  I've got nothing in particular, only thing that comes in my head right now is stupid things like spamming the boards in reverse order so all the old topics are the most recent.  Which sounded even stupider in my head. Take out a loan with your house as morgage and revive FESS2! We'll yell at Invisionfree until they give it back to us!Though, I'll post my old #FESSCHat logs so we can relive the good old days by seeing all the idiocy. I'll just have to go through and remove the private stuff. EDIT: That's an idea! Guys who used mIRC or something else with a logging function for chat! Let's post them and run #FESSChat stats for good! |

On serious question we should take is... why are we having so many boards for old FE games that none of us ever visit?
I guess that at the moment you could move the CD, Other Games and Stuff up. Might be more convenient. I might think of something more for tomorrow,'cause I'm having internet troubles.

How about making some kind of topic or a board inside "Other games" in which we propose some kind of pointless contests in small internet games. Let's say, a a FESS tourney in a page's pool game, or race in omgpop's hover kart racing, or perhaps a contest of who scored the highest in a given random game. EDIT: We could even give the winner a funny badge or something for a week or something. I should be studying, but also do many people here  We could certainly procrastinate together! |

I'm not really of a mind to start moving forums around. For all intents and puroposes, this is an archive ten months out of the year, and an zombie community who died out in 2008 for the other two. I'd like to keep things how they are for the other ten, figuring you guys can figure it out for the other two. I know that makes things somewhat inconsistent to have to go back and forth between the few boards that are still posted in, but I also have years of precedent that I'd like to keep around. I'll consider a reunion board, though. |
