There was some new footage shown at the
Nintendo direct thing (its about 34 minutes in and as for the location*). I don't think DLC was mentioned. Makes me wonder if nikeli (or whatever its called) just got the facts wrong. Or it could be such a big bombshell that it would destroy the rest of the show so no mention.
It seems to have voice acting in battles...so there went it coming out in 2012 for the non-Japanese of us. Some people who pay more attention than me think the shadows are inconsistent between builds of the game (i.e. they've been dumbed down due to performance issues).
