DISCUSSION: Colors -> FE Characters

Folks:

I've deleted a few colors from the Dilber color picker. The ones that remain are the ones I intend to leave in the system. For those who are a little slow, the colors are:

Light Blue
Navy - Hector
Silver - Pent
Cyan - FE8 Wonder Twins
Green - Lyn
Red - Joshua
Pink
Lavender
Purple


Now what I need from you guys is to fill in the blanks above with FE characters that fit those colors and the themes on the site. They need to be from games with official art, because if I'm going to be playing Mr. Photoshopper, I want my job to be easy.

I'm thinking two from each game in the US, at least. And I kind of like the idea of Lyn for the other FE7, which would be green. Not entirely sure.

Although the Pent love is pretty good, too. There are 9 slots and 4 games, so I may go with 3 for FE7 (because it's my favorite, AND I CAN DO THAT).

Also, for any games that aren't FE7 or FE8, I have no phucking idea what these people look like. Links (especially to good-quality lineart) help.

Also, some wallpapers have higher-res versions of some chars, or art that hasn't been released yet, if you have the patience to cut it out.

Lyn for green doesn't sound half bad, actually- I leaned off it myself just because I didn't feel like it, but that's not bad.

The problem with the artwork I find in FEPlanet (and FEO) is that it's not very high quality. I can muddle through it with Photoshop, it's just that I've been hoping for better. (JPGs suck.)

Unless you've got the option to scan stuff yourself, that's the best you'll find, at least to my knowledge.  The FE4 stuff is really poor quality, but other than that, there's just the trading cards, and then you have to cut everything out.

Most of the FE9/10 stuff is really good, though.  Some sadly have crappy quality art though, like Makalov. D:

If you guys want to post links/images of characters you like for various colors, feel free. I'm lazy, so it'll help.

Please link the high-res stuff though. Don't inline.

If I may, I also request something far darker- Black or close to our FESS4 skin. Not that I think that this stuff it too light, but I'm emo I think true dark theme wouldn't look half bad.

Plus, I use a dark theme on Firefox, and it happens to look good.

But it's rather easy to just edit as you go.  AKA, while you're making the skin.

That would be much appreciated. Ideally I'd have PNGs with just the image, no background.

Guys, let's spread these around. We're taking a classic name from the FE series; I wonder if our art style should have some semblance of that.

I personally question letting the members decide on this; too much reliance on the GBA and modern games.

Find decent quality art from older games and throw it into the mix.

Light Blue - Ike: This is going to be the standard one, yes? If so, I think Ike should be the one. With him featuring in two of the Fire Emblem games and being a playable character in the new Super Smash game, I think having him on our standard layout would be the best choice. (Path of Radius / Radiant Dawn)

Navy - Fin: He plays in both Seisen no Keifu and Thracia 776 and is a very popular character. Also, he's one of the most useful characters in the latter game and plays a significant role in its story. (Thracia 776)

Silver - Pent: I must agree with the use of Pent here. Very popular character, badass and the best Sage of the game (IMO). He has an awesome personality, too. You just can't go wrong with Pent. (Blazing Sword)

Cyan - Ephraim OR Eirika: I don't agree with the notion of using both of them. Not if all of the other layouts will use only one character. But the twins do make sense, so I'm definitely rooting for one of them. I prefer Ephraim myself. (The Sacred Stones)

Green - Chiki: I really doubt I need to explain this one. If you think Fa and Myrrh are badass, you should definitely add Chiki to that list. And she's the first of the powerful Mamkutes. And no, Banetou doesn't count. (Ankoku Ryu to Hikari no Tsurugi)

Red - Alvis: Probably one of the, if not the most popular Fire Emblem villain. Being a Seisen fanboy myself, I think Alvis is the best choice to represent FE4. He's in both generations and plays a significant role in the story. Plus, he's badass. (Seisen no Keifu)

Purple - Percival: Awesome character, best Paladin in Hard Mode and overall a popular character. Also imporant enough story-wise to warrant his own skin. (Fuuin no Tsurugi)

I have no clue for pink and lavander. And I don't know much about FE2/3 either. So I think it'd be better for other people to mention a character for those games.

As for quality art... well, it never hurts to try and find some.
