I remember gripes about hosting the java chat "locally," but maybe we have the resources now to have this done.

SMF allows you to "embed" Detournay's (and maybe others) Java client into the board, accessible via a link like where it says Home / Help / Search / ....

Additional site integration could include UCP profile fields to specify your default login name and maybe ~Serv identification.

Not a high-priority feature request.
