On topics about the final chapter people say their characters have blessed weapons.
1. How do you bless a weapon.
2. What can it do to the weapon.
3. When do you bless the weapons.
4. How many weapons can you bless.

1. Have it equipped in your characters inventory, and it should be blessed automatically, though keep it mind it will not work staves. :S

2. Infinite uses, and some bosses near the end REQUIRE weapons to be blessed in order to damage them, so choose wisely.

3. Yune will bless them before you start F-3, I believe.

4. Only one per character, so make it your best: SS rank weapons, powerful personal weapons, awesome forged weapons, or other special weapons. (I personally blessed a purge for Micaiah. >_>)

Hope that helps.

Holyn's got it on the nose.

All bosses from that point on will only be damaged from those weapons due to the Mantle skill, which blocks damage from all non-blessed weapons.

However, it should be noted that only a total of 3 bosses must be killed with blessed weapons, so you can probably get away with not blessing weapons that are already infinite-use like the Alondite and blessing ones that aren't such as the Vague Katti or Brave Sword for more options in the last chapters.

It must also be noted that you can't harm the Auroras with weapons that aren't blessed.  So blessing something like Alondite, the Wishblade, and other strong ranged weapons is very good, even though they have a lot of uses (infinite in Alondite's case) is still a good move.

Why not just a strong weapon? Why not a Brave weapon to attack it up to 4 times with (ignoring the potential for recoil)?

Wishblade I can understand, but it's not too hard to out-damage the Alondite when it comes to attacking the auras (the Vague Katti's stength boost IIRC makes it more powerful in total, and a forged silver sword with a strength boost card will probably result in more might as well, plus it can easily be more accurate than the Alondite, which can really help since the auras have decent dodge power).

the Vague Katti's stength boost

It boosts defense, unless you're talking from the 12->20 transition from PoR to RD.  The only weapon boosting strength is Balberith.

Yeah, I was talking about how its might changed. Sorry for not being more clear.

My point is that it's stronger and more accurate than the Alondite, and as such it's better for attacking the auras with, and thus could be argued as a superior option for blessing.

One could argue the long range abilities of the Alondite, as well as it's superior defense boost are better.  Sure, long range means little vs. auras ( you're not going more than 3 against 1 I hope ), but both dragons and elemental spirits can attack at range, and therefore the Vague Katti won't counter attack them.  Accuracy can be taken into account with supports, with anyone with Heaven, Fire, Wind or Light giving Accuracy.

The dragons and spirits do not have Mantle and therefore do not need blessed weapons to take down, so you can use the Alondite against them if you have another weapon blessed.

They're already blessed by Ashera, but in order to negate Mantle, they need to be blessed by Yune. That's why some people will have them blessed even though they're already infinite-use.

EDIT: Though it should be noted that Yune won't let Ike equip anything but the Ragnell for the blessing procedure, so you don't have a choice with him... Anyone else can bless whatever non-staff weapon they want (that they can use), though.

Also keep in mind that the actual blessing only gives it Unlimited uses and Mantle/Aura crushing power; you always get the +5 to all stats, irregardless of what weapon you have out.

Laguz have their dentistry blessed. Never brush again! Well, at least in the case of "Beak" or "Fangs". ROFL.

I wonder if anyone's tried giving their Heron a weapon to bless? Probably wouldn't work mind, since they wouldn't equip it...

I don't recall my units getting stat boosts when they got stuff blessed... Are you sure your units weren't just adjacent to some dragons, who give +5 boosts to two stats each?

It only affects equipped weapons, so the herons can't get anything blessed.

JP Normal (NA Easy) is the only mode that gets the +5 boosts to all stats.

i used soren over sanaki, so I had soren bless a rexcalibur and sanaki bless a meteor, then gave the meteor to soren.  it was soooooo useful, I was sniping stuff across the map with soren and then galdr-ing him to finish them off.

Yeah, it was Easy mode. Getting +5 to all stats is rather helpful for the dragon stage, especially RES for those blasted White Dragons. This boost actually made Astrid my strongest attacker (LOL), because of the +3 Str she already got from Double Bow, giving her a crazy total of 41 Str + 22 Mt = 63 ATK x 2. I gave her Nihil and let her snipe the Auras in the Final.

Besides, it makes more sense to have a universal boost than to just have blessed weapons; Yune says she's copying Ashera's trick; and obviously Altina, Sorn, Sephiran and Dhengsea were blessed with Asheras power in the first conflict. I still LOL at the thought of Altina duel-weilding Ragnell and Alondight.

Or you can just bless Alondite and not have to worry about getting attacked without being able to counter...why bring 2 infinite use weapons when one can do the job perfectly on its own?

Because as I said, it's possible to have swords with more power than the Alondite, and since most sword-users can always use more power, I'd rather bless the Vague Katti or a forged silver sword with higher accuracy and an attack boosting coin bonus so that the swordfighter can whip it out and deal more damage (on top of being more accurate) to Mantle enemies since Alondite can handle the normal ones just fine.

None of the enemies with Mantle move, so I don't see a problem in blessing a superior 1-1 range sword specifically for them and using the Alondite for the normal random enemies.

EDIT: Because we can, let's get specific. Desingea (sp?) is in a chapter with limited reinforcements and as such you probably won't be getting at him until you take care of the dragons. Until then you can use the Alondite, and then switch to the Vague Katti when facing him (which is also the only way that a Trueblade will be capable of damaging him, though gold knights and etc. can still make good use of the additional might the weapon offers). Sephiran is in a chapter with a ton of spirits, so again, keep them with the Alondite and swap to the Vague Katti when it comes time to finish him off (though it must be noted that only a handful of the spirits in that chapter will actively chase your team... all the ones surrounding him won't budge unless he rewarps. As such, it's not so vital to keep the Alondite equipped once you take out the first set that moves and then make sure to deal with the reinforcements that teleport in). Against Ashera you will probably want to have a few units designated to deal with the spirit reinforcements while your spellcasters focus on healing (if you don't have a Fortify staff) and the rest deal with the auras, so here the best one depends on whether your swordfighter is going to be dealing with the aura, or dealing with the reinforcements. If they are going to be focusing on the auras (we shall assume they were given Nihil or Parity), they're going to want as much power as possible to whittle them down, in which case, the Vague Katti or souped up forged sword would be better. If they are going to deal with the reinforcements... Well, unless you have problems taking them all out in the turn they arrive, there shouldn't be a real worry about them teleporting over to anyone, in which case, they could still be better off with the stronger weapon since more power is always nice and they don't want to let the spirits live long enough to teleport over to anyone and give them problems.

I use Alondite for the sake of having distance attackers. I also bless Thanti for pwning Knights.

I like ALondite on Eddie to help his god awful defense. It gives Eddie everything a growing Trublade needs as oppose to Vague Katti which only gives 2 Defense and no distance.
