I read that this game is getting a DS remake now that FE:RD is out, so I think it's about time a new section is added underneath Radiant Dawn no?
Oh yeah this is where I read it http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/tiara/fe11/

We've know about this for quite a while now. : /

The remake doesn't have its own board because right now we know very little about it.

Does it really deserve it's own FE Section?  I mean, it's FE11, of course, but I think it would rather be classified along with Ankoku (FE1), like below that but above Gaiden.  Other remake games aren't considered new installments in the collective (the Resident Evil series would be at high-hell by now if that was the case).

I wouldn't consider it FE11, I'd say something more like FE1R... but I'd say it should just use this board, since it sees so little activity anyways. >_>

Unless the remake has the same exact gameplay (and it better not), I don't see why it shouldn't get its own board. After all, we don't place topics about FE3's Book 1 in here. Why should the DS remake be treated any differently?

Well, I meant more like instead of being called FE11 and being placed after Akatsuki (FE10) it gets placed before Gaiden but after Ankoku (FE1).

Since it is most likly a remake of FE3 aswell it seems appropriate to make it a sub-forum in that section.

At this point, Brave Axe, it doesn't seem to be a remake of FE3. At least, we don't know yet. All we know is that they're remaking FE1, so it's *probably* based on some of the stuff they introduced in FE3, but it isn't a remake of FE3 itself.

This isn't an exact remake. Serenes Forest has the differences so far:

Changes from the original

The weapon triangle is implemented
Weapon Skill has been removed and replaced with Weapon Ranks
CG artwork
Strength and Magic stats co-exist
HP bars are shown below character
At least one new playable character- the Social Knight, Freyr.
At least one new weapon- the Wing Spear used by Sheeda.

So, I guess they have resistance in this one right? Also, why would not make it a remake of FE3? Why would they make a nicer version of FE1 twice and have half of the story? Also, Marth needs to promote.

I think you're trying to ask "why don't they add book 2?" rather than "why not remake FE3?"

FE1 could use a remake because it's the first game in the series and is probably the most in need of one considering all the changes that have been made to the series since. FE3 had an okay remake of it, but at the time very little was altered compared the original in terms of gameplay mechanics.

Don't quote me on it, but I heard from someone that Marth is promoting this time.

I'm completely stoked about this game. Looking at some of the screenshots, it seems really promising.

Since the only information is press releases and I don't seem to remember the translation of the press release saying anything about Marth promoting all i'll say is.

I would hope for Marth promoting along with some other classes *glares toward axe users...thanks to the weapon triangle you'll want to use them * but there is no fact proving or disproving it at this current time.

Since they are remaking FE1, isn't there a possibility that they will continue on with the remakes of the old games and put them all on the DS? While having the new games they make come out on the Wii? Its been long enough for them to be popular in Japanese with new audiences, as well as brand new for the Westerners. It would make since if they did it this way, in my opinion at least.

The Japanese already have Seisen and Monshou on the Virtual Console, so I doubt they'd get the jump on remaking either of those.  That leaves Gaiden, and possibly Thracia.  The latter would make the most sense, as the game was somewhat rare at its release in the first place.

I would be afraid they would dumb down the difficulty in a FE5 remake.

FE2 could use a remake as well, I see untapped potential in FE2, it's really a fun game, but at the same time it can be annoying (Like how you almost have abuse the skirmishes and ruins to keep up to the enemy, plus the witches transporting everywhere was a pain).

lets just call it FE11, since the graphics are better then the original by far, characters look way much better, and... ya, it looks way better
