I got a quick question. I spared Pelleas when you're asked if you want to kill him, but now I've started part 4 and Pelleas hasn't shown up on the team selection screen. Are there any other requirements that need to be fufilled before I get to use him?

Also note that he doesn't just join automatically, but on the beginning of turn 2 on that chapter. (I only say this because I got very confused when I didn't have him in the base. SF never pointed out turn 2...)

I know. I was freaking out because I killed him in Part III final and was afraid that he did more than just retreat. Also on Serenes they say he joins with different weapons than the ones he actually joins with. He gets Verrine, Fenrir, and another dark magic tome(its not worm but I think its a tiny step above that).

The only other tome, aside from Worm, is Balberith, but only Izuka has that.

Oh. I guess I missed that update because I could have sworn that when the site was entirely based on the Japanese version it only had Fenrir and Verrine listed.

Whilst this topic is around: Besides recruiting Pelleas and Lehran and getting Ike's memory scene, WHAT is actually new in the 2nd playthrough?
Obviously Pelleas being alive will also give slightly more dialogue...but is there much else? No bands, or fixed RNG mode or anything like that as in FE9?

I think you gain the ability to turn off map animations upon beating the game.

Thanks, but I know what you get for beating it, I was wandering what you'd see in a second playthrough: is it basically the exact same- any new plot/base convos/etc. besides Pelleas/Lehran/Ike memory. Besides, unlocking things like that is m00t for me. I like the proper animations; they're the heart of a good FE game in my opinion. (In fact, I believe that its a shame that staffs don't get proper animations any more, just map anims).

I have a question about 2nd playthrough and since we have this topic, I'll ask:
To recruit Lehran we must make Ike to battle the Black Knight on 'Rivals Collide' and he must survive, but he sucks! the BK deals 32 x2 to him! any idea on what to do?

Ike must have 27 speed, unless maybe an A Earth/Earth support could make him avoid a hit, but I'm not sure. Transfer bonus can make Ike's speed go to 25 and he got a passable 35% growth there.

And as a good thought on going against the Black Knight, it's best to fight against him with his distance. Even if you don't land a blow, as long as you met him, it's works out fine. Also, because he's fighting you at a distance, he wouldn't have the chance to use Eclipse on you (or you don't need to worry about this if Ike has Nihil.)

Does the black knight have to live for the whole chapter, or could you kill him after Ike fights him?
