I'm trying to emulate NDS with no$gba, but every time I try and run a game it gives me an "Unable to read data. Please turn off power and reinsert the game card." Now I get the feeling the emulator itself is working (I have the BIOS and firmware, I'm not asking for anything illegal here [I think]), so I'd think it's just the ROM, except I've tried this with multiple copies. (And yes, all of the ROMs I've tried are compatible, I checked.) I get this error whether or not it's encrypted; I've tried both. Does anyone have any clue what I could do about this? Or is it just the ROM and I keep getting crappy copies? EDIT: Never mind, fixed it. I'm an idiot.

Yeah...
Oddly enough, Bleach: Blade of Fate will save the game, but Phoenix Wright 1 won't, no matter what type I change it to...
(Of course, the Bleach game lags so badly as to be impossible, as does FFXII, but what the heck, we're getting somewhere.)

Any time you try to open any NDS ROM at all? The only way I got that error is if I tried to load a savestate (snapshot for no$gba, but whatever).
Oooh! With the sound quality turned down, Bleach barely lags at all! (.....in a one-on-one. Two-on-ones are still hell. Oh well.) But Phoenix Wright won't save! Help?

Make sure the save type is correct. DS games tend to be either FLASH 256K or 512K.

Make sure the save type is correct. DS games tend to be either FLASH 256K or 512K. And on the note of that actual game, Fir, did you ever get it to be able to truely save, or get savestates working? It seemed that nothing I did could (I need a working save for code finding, so...).

Savestates do not work as yet in no$gba for NDS. Saving only seems to work in some games...
...
...damnit. Just got Phoenix Wright to save. Doesn't seem to like playing at 256 Flash though; EEPRom was better but wouldn't save. So I guess saving should work in most to all, but savestates just aren't working yet.

Which version do you have? The newest costs around two dollars and supports it, I know. I've used it messing around with editing FFIV DS

The free version (I think 2.5a). As the other version is a) a paying version and b) specifically (they're very emphatic about this) for people who want to work on the programming and debugging, which I don't know nearly enough about to mess with. (And I've got finals now... )

No. That's the debug version. The latest version (2.6) costs $2.50 because the author is running out of money. It's genuinely worth the cost.

So did nothing in this thread help you?
Also usually you show an image of the exact error as you're not clear if it is the game or a message from the program.
If it is a message from the program it could be the file is corrupted or that No$GBA can't handle the filename (from experaince I've found it can't handle unicode names i.e. Chinese names)
