Ross - because of RNG blessage(nearly capped speed)
Ewan - similar to Ross
Lute - Second-best Mage ever.(Sorry, but Levin and his potential son got Holsety to tie for first place)

Lute, because she's so proud of herself
Ross, best axe user in the game
Marisa, just because...
Eirika post-promotion rocks, because of high skill and speed
eiphraim pre-promotion because he's so strong you don't need to protect him too much
Myrrh (for 50 turns), because she's a big bad-ass looking dragon

L'Aracheal- She is born of royality and that she grows more Def in Valkyrie class than as a Mage Knight.
Amelia- Simply best character in the game, make her a Paladin and watch her become a dodge queen. Excellent character to bring into the Lagdou Ruins!
Selena- Because she is kindhearted,pretty and that it was hard for her as she had to wrestle with her loyality.
Eirika- She is also kindhearted.
Colm- A rogue theif that takes care of Neimi like a sister!

Lute, she is funny and her character isn't some FE7 clone like half the others (plus she has 1337 stats to make it better). Joshua is also good to.

Seth is my favorite character. Sure, he may just be a younger version of Marcus, but that's what I like about him.
Joshua is pretty cool too. He's one of the few swordmasters that has a personality that I can actually stand.

Lute, with her wonderfully unique...habits. Monk-watching ftw.
And Joshua. And, in the context of Joshua, I actually like Innes. Other times, he's so-so in terms of personality. But the Josh-Innes support really brings out a side of him I liked.
But I loathe Ewan. He's, as Amelia puts it, a twerp. Not funny or cute in any way. Insane mage though...

Probably Joshua. He had a great backstory and had a lot of things related to him I found rather awesome, namely his palette, hat, and gambling habit.
Otherwise, Valter is quite interesting as I rather like sadistic villains like him. Also if there's one of the new classes I really loved, it was the Wyvernknight.

Marisa and Gerik proved to be killing machines for me when supported together. I could leave them alone in a corner where reinforcements come in, and they'd get nary a scratch, even when on the losing end of the weapon triangle. I also like the way they interact, with Gerik trying to get Marisa to open up a little and Marisa being awkward when trying to do so. And Lute brings the burnation, and it's amusing watching her torment Artur.  |

Ross and Ewan for me, but mostly because I'm in love with the Berzerker and Druid classes. Too bad Ewans template makes the Druid outfit look FUGLY.

I was sincerely amazing by Lute when I played the original Japanese version - I'm seriously going :O at decent speed growth and Lilina-like Magic. It was awesome.
Also, Gerik remains my favorite character because Hero's been my favorite class since FE1; Oguma being my favorite archetype. Gerik is also a badass and the title "Desert Tiger" sounds pretty decent imo... enough for me to base my screen name off it lawl

Gerik has to be one of my favourites. Not only does he have kick-ass growths and stats, he also looks cool and has a cool personality to boot. Pretty much my favourite Mercenary in all of the games.
Second is Ewan, because he's just darn cute. His Pupil battle sprite is funny as well.

My favorite character on FE8 would be Gerik...Best unit in the game hands down. He's also really cool personality wise too.
BTW Knoll....Sucks....Hes horrable...The only reason I use him is because he makes a decent Summoner. Plus I don't wanna make Ewan a summoner when he can become a Druid or a super pupil.
