This guide is done to a more complete form then any out there: However, with the low demand, I'm taking a new stance:

The Two incomplete sections, The NPC and Enemy Codes, are going to be filled in by need. Simply make the request, and it will be done. Don't act like you are requesting anything: Just say "I want (Insert part) done." And it will be done.

2: Introduction and FAQ

2.1: Introduction

Hello, and welcome to FESS' Fire Emblem 6 Code Code guide. Here, we hope to provide you with the largest code database, with many codes that you cannot find anywhere else. For all intents and purposes, I am the code archiver, SoC, and my main purpose in this archive is to help you, the cheater, easily find the most unique codes for Fire Emblem 6.

2.2: Code Philosophy

I, though FESS may hold different views, believe codes are to be shared by all. Any code that is created should be shared with everyone, and it should be open to all.

Following on this, all codes posted here do not need to have an author put on them in order to go into this archive. I maintain this due to the fact that anyone with enough skill can find them; I DO NOT believe in the "I found it first so it is mine" view. This even extends to official codes by official sources.

Because of this, I will not post author names of codes. If this is a problem for you, please take it up with me by means of a PM, or for faster results, FESSChat. If I, not the Admins, feel that your case holds enough water, I will mark your name beside the code; I will refuse to take it down, however.

This, however, does not apply to certain codes; Arcane's Class and Portrait Suite, for instance, is something that will be credited to him. This is more suggestive on my part, however; If I feel your code is truly something I can call your code, and if I feel it is something worth while (For instance, I'm not going to add "Button Activated Full Health," or something along those lines) Then it will be in with a mention of your name.

2.3: Warnings

I, nor FESS, is responsible for loss of data and/or the damages that may be done to your game with the use of these codes. While I maintain that most of these codes will not harm your game in any fashion, the chance is still there, and thus, I must say this.

Also, the "Experimental Codes," fall under an entirely different standard. I do not endorse the use of these codes in any way, shape, or form. They may completely destroy your game, but more than likely you will lose all your data. Remember: You have been warned. Failure to understand this is not my fault, nor the fault of FESS.

Also, if you are to make code requests, you request them HERE, not in the "Coding and Hacking" forum. That is for the posting of codes, not for the requesting of them.

2.4: FAQ

Question: What are these codes for?
Answer: The codes in this guide are to be entered on a Codebreaker or a Game Shark SP

Question: But I have an Action Replay! Does that mean you have no codes for me?
Answer: No. Actually, I possess the ability to convert most, if not all, of the codes listed here into Action Replay usable codes. The reason they are not listed is because of the fact that Codebreaker/GSSP are the most popular form of Game Enhancer.

Question: How do I enter these codes?
Answer: Honestly? If you have a Game Enhancer and have not figured out how to do this, I don't really care if you don't know how. If not, pick one up and read that pretty instruction manual that came with it. It's there for a reason.

Question: Cheating is wrong you guys!
Answer: While this isn't actually a question, I feel I must address it any way: We hackers of FESS couldn't care less about your opinion on what we do. If you don't like the fact that we cheat, or make cheats, you don't have to talk to us. If you try to flame us, you will be dealt with by the Admins. It is that simple.

Question: But I use the VBA!
Answer: You can use any of the codes here. The only difference is you do not have to enter a [M] Code.

Question: How do you all do this?
Answer: I'll be frank: If you have to ask this question, you do not possess the skills necessary to learn how to do this. It is that simple. However, to answer it, we use a ROM of the games and find the coding within them, and use that to find the codes. That is, in the simplest terms, how we find codes.

If there are any questions asked here that seem to be frequent enough for me to add them, I will do so.

2.5: Contributors

The people listed here are people that have offered much to this guide, and people that it would be too time consuming to mention for each code they have added.

As such, they will simply be listed here.

borkborkbork

2.6: Code Guide Key

(X): You have to use a preset value for this code: These can be found in the "Value" section.
(#): You have to use hexidecimal values for these. If you do not know hex off top of your head, Windows Calculator can do dec-to-hex conversions.

FESS, you gave me good times, and I had a lot of fun with you. I didn't get to say this the first time around, but...

This is Shadow of Chaos, or as I'm known now, Furby, FESS' only Coding and Hacking moderator, one of the guys who helped rebuild your main website, saying goodbye, FESS, and thanks for all the fish.

Codes:

3.1: Master Code

Codebreaker/GSSP (Unneeded for VBA- Make a Request for Action Replay)
00003CC7 000A
1009C180 0007

3.2: A note for the Player, Enemy, and NPC codes

Due to space constrictions, I will only be posting the codes for slot 1 for each of these 3 sets. However, I will be posting a method you

can use to get other slots.

To get the 2nd person , add 48 HEX to the address.
To get the 3rd person , add 90 HEX to the address.

And on, and on. Basically, for how many characters you want to go up, multiply 48 by that number. Then, add that to the specific code you
want, and then use the same values you would use for the slot one code.

I read everything , but i still don't understand how to put the codes together , would it be too much to ask of if you gave an example of the codes being put together ?

This normally wouldn't be the place for it and I'll also wager that both of these posts will be deleted, but I'll try and be helpful.

Let's say you want Roy to have 99 experience...

If you want him to always have 99 experience, then you use the code as it says...

Open up the Cheats section of the emulator of your choice (Gamesharks are too easy to need a tutorial)

Type in exactly what was given to you.  Now, the number signs indicate what your input would be.  You can put anything from 00 to ff (255).  If you don't know hexidecimal, I'll just tell you some key values that you'd probably want to use.

14 = 20, good for stats.
63 = 99, good for experience.
ff = 255, the usual maximum amount for something.  In FE6, it gives an item -- uses, although it does mean 255 and will degrade to 254 upon use.

So we have our code, now it's just a matter of hitting OK.  After that you'll notice that nothing's changed.  That's because the values need to be refreshed on the screen, so just hit L or switch to a new character and re-highlight the one you were using, and the changes will take place.

Like so.

Now, if you want to make a change only once (in the case of experience, it may be better, as having your experience stuck at 99 might make it difficult to level.) then open instead the Memory Viewer.

This tool lets you make changes to the data that aren't permanent.  (My usual way of doing it.)

Now, this is the only real trick you need to learn.  The first number on the codebreaker codes (Usually a three or an eight) need to be ignored completely, other than that it's roughly the same deal.

(See the 63 you put in there previously?  Nifty, isn't it?)

The only exceptions would be portraits (as they take up more than one line) but that should be saved after you have a bit more practice.

Anyway, I hope this was helpful.  I don't think I could've spoon-fed it anymore without actually making screens telling you to hit OK.

First off, please work on your grammar; this isn't a text message, so please spell out things like "you".

Secondly, do you understand hexadecimal at all? I need to know that before advancing, but you COULD do this easily with Windows Calculator. I just need to know if you have a clue of what's going on.

In theory if you make a code that freezes the support points value that would do the trick but in finding the memory value that does that you have to be careflu not to find the support value between the respective characters.

Increasing value codes are quite easy to find in visual boy advances code search function. You might want to search the internet for an action replay/gameshark codes guide to give you more info about what you would do.

Indeed, increasing value codes normally are quite easy to find, but I have had no success trying to find the chapter support point tally   Was wondering if someone else more thorough than I has tried it as well and could tell me what the Big Mystery is that's making the search so difficult (assuming it's not just error on my part T.T).

Judging from the FE7 Prototype ROM, I'm guessing the game does store the total support points. Did you try counting points using only one character pair (it's probably the obvious thing to do though)?

I'll answer that question with one of my own: do you have any idea on how hexadecimal works? If not, then go learn it. Explaining it to you otherwise would be like teaching calculus to a 2nd grader.

I wonder if that would be any more difficult.

Let's find a second grader!

My beautiful significant other said it best: I wasn't being mean. Not at all. I mean, if you want to see mean...

But my point stands. Besides, everything I was going to explain is in Furby's first post anyway.

EDIT: And really, if you read the thread, my answer was predictable anyway; I answered the last person that asked your question *the same exact way*. But I didn't open FESS again to be a dick. Unless people WANT to see '05 era Bus...
