Out of curiosity, is there information on biorhythm? Because I once read that there's more than one type of biorhythm, and I'd like some info on it...

Well, look at a few characters, and notice how some have a different line?  That means that their Biorhythm changes slower/faster, and goes higher/lower than others.  Compare like... Kieran and Nolan or something, I know Kieran's is nuts and Nolan's is a lot less so.

One of the official Japanese guidebooks has all the different sine graphs classified, but it's possibly a bit excessive for something that doesn't do much DX

What do you mean? Altering up to -/+20% for hit and avoid, item finding chance, and skill activation chance seems like a pretty significant thing to me.

Heck, the sole reason Lyre was the one wearing down Ashera in my first playthrough was because her biorhythm was at max while Ranulf's was at minimum, so she had a decent chance of hitting while Ranulf would have had some problems.

The one key change in the biorhythm is that it progresses at a much faster pace than it did in PoR.  Whereas a biorhythm in PoR would start high in a given chapter and virtually remain so through the fight, a high biorhythm here would slide to the bottom rather quickly as the battle progressed.

Therefore, trying to choose between two units based on their biorhythms is moot.  Besides, there's always Bliss and Sorrow to help you out.

At best Bliss and Sorrow work on four people for the heron brothers and only two for Leanne, that means people will be attacked by an enemy and it usually would not be the guy with the high biorhythm.
