Favorite and least favorite character models

To clarify what I mean I'm talking about in-battle models for characters.

Right off the top of my head I really like Ike's hero model, Zihark's swordmaster model and Volke's assassin model.

While I was dissapointed by the horseback knights since half of them still had that crummy generic helmet on them.

By class

Ike(yea he's he's own class lol ): I love his Hero's model but his vanguard outfit looks crappy in both protrait and model wise[it only looks cool in CG IMHO]...

Trueblades:, Zihark swordmaster is  my fav, though his trueblade is pretty much just as good.  Mia's trueblade is sexy. Everything else is pretty cool, though personally Eddie is just a bit too red for my liking in his swordmaster and trueblade model.

Sentinals: I love Danved sentinal the most.  His halbredier isnt bad, whereas I adore Nepheenes halbredier apperance but honestly I could careless about her sentinal apperance, sadly Aran is a bit meh over all being just a generica model doesnt help him also i was expecting him to havea a black not dark blue model.

Reavers: Too be honest I've never seen a reaver nolan. So far I think I like Reaver Boyd the most, with fighter Nolan in second, both their warrior models are kinda lame and boring IMHO

Marksman:  Shinon is the coolest in design all around, and I've yet to see Rolf or Leonardo as a marksman...so who knows, though I doubt I ever train either too much within my next playthrough....


Sreaph[sp?] Knights[including Elincia]: I like the Falcon Knights designs better then their third tier the armor splinters into strangly  layered plates IMHO. however I think Elincia is the overall the best among them anyway with Tanith in second.

Dragon Lords: Haar has a dragon lord looks wickedly evil, which while badass just didnt seem to fit with haar character its too agressive for it own good. I havent seen jill dragonloard so i cant speak about that however i think haar dragonmaster is the best model in the end.

Gold/Silver Knights: Titania  as a Gold Knight is hot, after that Geoffrey Silver knight, Oscar Lance paladin/Fiona Silver knight. Aside for them everyone esle is  nothing special however ive yet to see Kiearan, Makalov, Astrid as tier 3 units.

Mages: Honestly I've only seen a few of them promoted all the way.  Micciah is pretty quite alround though I like Tier 1 and 3 most. Pellas is nice as well, especially in tier 3. Illyana is alright however tier 3 was a bit of a let down though the see through skirt was a surprise.

Rogue/Assassin: Volke wins hands down, Heather is hot in tier 3. Sothe as a rogue has grown on me though his tier 3 dissappoints me, form behin is alright cause it look like a trench coat but then you see is some strage belly shirt with a  built in scarf thingy.

There's some more which I'll comment on a bit later ... but low and behold ive gotten tired at 1:14AM LOL so I'll finish this later.

Tanith: Seraph Knight looked really nice the extra shoulder armour is just a little weird though.
Sephiran: for having his own class
Edward: Trueblade the coat fucking rocks
Shinon is my favorite marksman Rolf doesn't look too much different from his sniper
Lion King C (still can't spell it)
Bird: Naesala (but I can spell that)
Dragon: Kurth, black dragon yay
Soren has an odd white bathrobe, but its my favorite out of the element users
Sothe's whisper looks more badass than Heather's

I personally think all the laguz have really nice battle models while in human form, but the problem is that that's precisely the form you don't want them attacked in, so you won't get to see it very often unless you're being very careful...

The Seraph Knights look nice, but I personally prefer the way the Falcoknights look over them. For sages and saints I quite like most of them (yes, even Oliver's), and... Well, actually I think I like the majority of the models since they now actually show the character fighting rather than being just a recolor of a generic enemy unit (aside from a lucky few). The only ones I don't really like are the ones like Keiran where they have the helmet on to make them look less unique... Yeah, I know he had a helmet in FE9, and wearing one is smart to protect his head, but I want to see his battle model match his portrait. Meg I'll let slide since you can clearly tell that it's her behind the armor.

I guess I like most of the models. The animations have drastically improved from PoR (where I turn off the animations every time). My problem is that they still look (graphics wise) in between N64 and Gamecube in terms of detail.

hmm, well:

kurth: it shouldn't really be a surprise that i find the black dragon's model to be the coolest ~_~ he flies, and he's not some lumbering clunky dinosaur-like thing like nasir, ena, or gareth. i think they could have made his (and all the other dragons, for that matter) criticals and skills look more...interesting, i guess, but for the most part his animations stayed on.
pelleas: nope, i can't think of any good reason other than his hair was blue
and the herons all looked amazing, of course.
...and nephenee too, just for good measure.

I must say that in the 2d pictures, the armor on Vanguard Ike's left arm looked huge, almost like a shield. I thought that the 3d model would reflect this better...

Come to think of it, what I liked most about the RD models compared to the PoR models was the inclusion of shields. They may be redundant (The Knight wears a full suit of armor, which IRL made the shield obsolete), but they make Gatrie and Tauroneo look more badass in RD than they did in PoR.

So you can guess what I don't like about the Silver and Gold Knight models...

I don't have any specific favourites, but I definitely liked the mage models, especially the Arch Sage ones. Heather and several others also had great models.

Swordmasters/Sword Saints whatever were how they should be. Wearing coats, that was awesome (which is what made Lloyd awesome in FE7)...

Coats>Robes, with an exception of a few characters who can pull off the robe look. My only problem with the sword master people, is the female ones are all hunched over and using both hands rather then standing up straight with 1 hand, makes them look weak.

I am still waiting for SNES style heros however... Ike doesn't cut it for heros (I feel like the only person who care for Ike that much. plus he didn't have that SNES hero look, he was all mega armored on one side and had like nothing on the other, that's good on a berserker or something, but not a hero, that's what the hero class is, balanced above average).

And yeah, Nephenee had a good one.

I liked how Marshals have both shields and capes, back to the good old SNES style which completely pwns the GBA/FE9 style.

I could probably go on, but others are less notable in my eyes (like 98% were better then FE9 though, soldiers of all things actually did cool flips and stuff).
